General Information

Bed Linen/Towels   These are included in the price of your holiday.  The beds will be made up for your arrival.

Electricity/Oil          This is included in the price of your holiday.  A supply of logs at Sunset Cottage is also included.

Welcome Pack          Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and a pint of fresh milk is provided for your arrival.

Books/Videos          There is a selection of books, videos, dvds and games in both cottages and some blank video tapes in case you need to record anything while you are out!  There is also plenty of local tourist information provided and details of popular walks.

Wireless Broadband  We are pleased to announce that WiFi is available at Sunset Cottage on request.

Cleaning Materials   Washing up liquid, cleaning materials, kitchen foil, cling film, kitchen roll, dishcloths and tea towels are provided.

Arrival Time              The cottages are available from 3pm  onwards.  Changeover day is Friday.

Departure Time      Please vacate the property by 10.00am on the day of departure.  Before you leave please ensure that you have left the cottage in a clean and tidy state and at the standard in which you found it for the next guests.  There are sufficient cleaning materials provided and Dyson vacuum cleaners in both properties.

No Smoking              The cottages are non-smoking accommodation.  Please respect this and do not smoke inside the cottages.

Pets                            Pets are welcome at Sunset Cottage only.  Please do not leave your pets in the cottage when you go out.  Please do not allow your pets on the furniture or the beds.  Please also remove their waste from the garden before you leave.

Post Office                 There are sub-post offices in Flookburgh, Cark and Kirkby-in-Furness and a main post office in Ulverston.

Shops                          There is a Booths supermarket in Ulverston (15 minutes) and larger supermarkets (eg. Asda, Tesco, Aldi etc.) in Barrow (approximately 20 minutes by car).  There are also major shops in Kendal (approximately 20 minutes by car).

Trains                         The nearest station to Stockdale Farm is at Cark-in-Cartmel and at Kirkby-in-Furness for Sunset Cottage.  Main line trains run through Cark-in-Cartmel and Ulverston.

Cancellation Policy   We hope that you will not need to cancel your holiday.  If there are unforseen circumstances in which you do need to cancel, please telephone us as soon as possible to let us know.  If we are able to resell your holiday, then it may be possible to refund a proportion of your balance.  If not we will be unable to refund your balance.  Your deposit is not refundable.  We therefore recommend that you consider taking out Cancellation Insurance.
